| The first Asian production of Visiting Mr. Green took place in 2002. Performed in English, it starred Miguel Faustmann as Mr. Green (a triumph of makeup since he was only 47) and Michael Williams as Ross Gardiner. It was directed by theatre pioneer and founder of Repertory Philippines, Zeneida Amador, who passed away in 2004. "Like other great plays, Visiting Mr. Green works because the issues raised and the emotional responses to them are universal. These things could and do happen everywhere." - Michael David C. Tan, The Manila Times |
